BOOK 47 FATE 273! <br />J' <br />ORDINANCE NO. 81-31 <br />AN ORDINANCE ASSESSING AN ADDITIONAL $2.00 AS <br />COURT COSTS IN ALL CRIMINAL CONVICTIONS IN <br />COUNTY AND CIRCUIT COURTS IN INDIAN RIVER <br />COUNTY, FLORIDA, PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS <br />OF SECTION 943.25(8)(a), FLORIDA STATUTES, <br />AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMAZISSIONERS OF <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA: <br />Section 1. Every County and Circuit Court in Indian River <br />County, Florida, created by the Constitution of Florida or by <br />Legislative Act shall assess $2.00 pursuant to Section 943.25 <br />(8)(a), Florida Statutes, as a court cost against every person <br />convicted for violation of a state penal or criminal statute or <br />convicted for violation of a municipal or county ordinance. In <br />addition, $2.00 from every bond estreature or forfeited bail <br />bond related to such penal statutes or penal ordinances shall <br />be deposited in the General Fund of Indian River County for the <br />purpose hereinafter provided. However, no such assessment shall <br />be made against any person convicted for violation of any state <br />statute, municipal ordinance or county ordinance relating to the <br />parking of vehicles. All such costs collected by the aforesaid <br />courts shall be deposited in the General Fund of Indian River <br />County to be used for law enforcement education expenditures by <br />said County pursuant to law. <br />Section 2.
