Mr. Zorc expressed his appreciation for the consideration <br />the Board has given for 16th Street, and their support for this new <br />committee. <br />Commissioner Wodtke stated he understood that the Traffic <br />Engineer and staff will do the necessary research and take their <br />recommendations to the Board - the Transportation Planning Committee <br />will not be involved in that. He wanted to know what -would be the <br />responsibilities of the Committee. <br />Commissioner Bird felt the County staff would do their <br />studies and take their report to the Transportation Planning Committee, <br />and that Committee would then make a recommendation to the Board. <br />Commissioner Bird amended his Motion to state that the <br />Traffic Engineer and staff would take their report to the Trans- <br />portation Planning Committee, who will then make the recommendation <br />to the Board. <br />Commissioner Scurlock seconded. the amendment. <br />Discussion followed along those lines. <br />The Chairman called for the question. It was voted.on and <br />carried unanimously. <br />Speed Limit on 4th Street <br />The Board next discussed the following memorandum from the <br />County Administrator: <br />OCT 7 191 25 <br />Boa 47 PAGE 722 <br />
