(d) Replace Section 101.3 (b) 2. at pages 1-3 and 1-4 of the <br />energy code which as amended will read: <br />"2. Exempted public buildings means: <br />a. Any public building or portion thereof whose peak <br />design rated energy usage for all purposes is <br />less than 1 watt (3.4 Btu's per hour) per square <br />foot of floor area for all purposes. <br />b. Any public building which is neither heated or <br />cooled. <br />c. Any mobile home. <br />d. Any buildings or portion thereof subject to <br />standards established by the United States. <br />e. Any state building that must conform to the more <br />stringent "Florida Energy Conservation in <br />Buildings Act of 1974" and amendments thereto." <br />(e) Add the following definition to Section 201.1 on page <br />2--4—of the energy code: <br />"HEATED SLAB. A floor, usually constructed of concrete, <br />that has heat energy supplied into the slab to provide <br />heating to an interior space." <br />(f) Add the following sentence at page 5-2 of the energy code <br />immediately following the last sentence of paragraph <br />5Ul.z(a) (1): <br />"Equation I -A may be used." <br />(g) Add the following paragraphs at page 5-2 of the energy <br />code following paragraph 502.2(a)3: <br />"502.2 (b) Insulating/Solar Glass Equivalence: <br />Table 5-2C in Section 502.3(c) shows shading <br />coefficients for solar glass which are <br />equivalent to insulating glass. This table <br />is applicable for residential buildings. <br />502.3 (c) Insulating/Solar Glass Equivalence: <br />Table 5-2C indicates the maximum shading <br />coefficients for single pane solar glass <br />which are equivalent to dual -pane insulating <br />glass with a U value of 0.65 or larger." <br />(h) Replace Table 5-1 at page 5-3 of the energy code with the <br />following Table andnew Footnote 1 and amended Footnote 2. <br />"Table 5-1 <br />Type Al and A2 Residential Buildings <br />Element Mode Value <br />Walls <br />Heating <br />or Cooling <br />Uo <br />0.30 Max.l <br />Roof/Ceiling <br />Heating <br />or Cooling <br />Uo <br />0.05 Max.2 <br />Floors Over <br />Heating <br />or Cooling <br />Uo <br />0.30 Max. <br />Unheated Spaces <br />Heated Slab <br />Heating <br />R <br />3.4 Min <br />on Grade <br />
