ORDINANCE NO. 89- <br />e <br />Regulations --as set out in 44 - CFR, Section-60,3(d)(e). <br />Questions of interpretation should be resolved by reference <br />to the Code of Federal Regulations. <br />(b) Zone A requirements. <br />------------------------- <br />(1) All proposed -__construction and other <br />-------- ----------- ------------------------- <br />developments includinq the placement of manufactured homes, <br />within Zone A on the FIRM shall require a permit. <br />---------------------------------------------- <br />(2)--All-necessary-permits-from-those-governmental <br />agencies -from -which -approval -is -required -by federal -or state <br />-raw, i nc-t ud i ng Ser t fon 404 o-f--the—Fede ra-I Wat-e-r Ro-1-i u t ion --- <br />Control <br />on ---Control Act Amendments of 1971, 33 U.S.C. 1334, shall be <br />provided prior- to -the -time--the- proposed -development--is <br />approved by -the -Community -Development -Department. <br />(3)- The Community Development- Department shall <br />review all permit applications to determine whether the <br />proposed -building sites- will-- be --reasonably -safe--from <br />flooding_ --If a -proposed buildingsite -is -in a flood prone <br />- <br />area, all new construction and substantial improvements <br />shall -(i) -be designed (or modified) and -adequately anchored <br />to prevent flotation, collapse, or lateral movement of the <br />structure -resultingfrom - - <br />hydrodynamic andhydrostatic-loads, <br />- <br />including -the -effects -of buoyancy, -(ii) be constructed with <br />na ter i -a-1 -s—res i s -anc e to f-4-ood damage , E i -i i4—be c -ons -t r uctad <br />by- methods _and practices- that -minimize -flood damages, -and <br />(iv) be constructed with electrical, heating, ventilation_ <br />--------------------------------------------- <br />plumbing_ -and air -conditioning -equipment -and otherservice <br />facilities that are designed and/or located so as to prevent <br />water -from entering- or accumulating -within- the components <br />during conditions -of -flooding. <br />(4) The Community Development Department and the <br />Public- Works Department -shall-review - subdivision -proposals <br />and other proposed new developnt,--inc udinq manufacture <br />homeparks or subdivision, to determine whether such <br />proposals- wi I I- be -reasonably - -- <br />safefromf loon�_-- diIf -a <br />CODING: Words in WUIkltWOOM type are deletions from <br />existing law; words underlined are additions. <br />3 <br />smeadsoft Reprint Date: Wednesday, August 14, 2013 - 11:17:40 - OfficialDocuments:693, Attachment Id 0, Page 3 <br />
