890K 8 FnE-36 <br />DEC 161991 <br />ORDINANCE NO. 81-42 <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian <br />6 <br />River County, Florida, did publish and send its Notice of Intent <br />to rezone the hereinafter described property and pursuant thereto <br />held a public hearing in relation thereto, at which patties in <br />interest and citizens were heard; NOW, THEREFORE, <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of County Commissioners of <br />Indian River County, Florida, that the Zoning Ordinance of Indian <br />River County, Florida, and the accompanying Zoning Map, be amended <br />as follows: <br />1. That the Zoning Map be changed in order that the <br />following described property situated in Indian <br />River County, Florida, to -wit: <br />The north 2.24 acres of the west 5 acres of the east <br />15 acres of Tract 12, Section 1, Township 33 south, <br />Range 38 east, as shown on the Plat of Indian River <br />Farms Company, recorded in Plat Book 2, Page 25, <br />St. Lucie County, Florida, said land now lying and <br />being in Indian River County, Florida. <br />Be rezoned from R-3 Multiple -Family District to C-lA <br />Restricted Commercial. <br />All within the meaning and intent and as set forth and <br />described in said Zoning Regulations. <br />This Ordinance shall'take effect December 21, 1981. <br />Discussion followed in regard to initiating rezoning of <br />the R-3 property to the west as recommended, and <br />Commissioner Scurlock stated he had no problem with this, <br />but felt we should at least touch base with the people <br />concerned. <br />Commissioner Vlodtke pointed out that if that 8 acre <br />node went through, there would be no other location at that <br />intersection for further commercial. <br />Planning Director Rever pointed out that if the demand <br />arose at some later date, this possibly could be <br />redesignated as a major node. <br />46 <br />
