ORDINANCE NO. 85-72 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE TEXT AND MAP <br />OF THE LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN; <br />PROVIDING FOR ENLARGING THE OSLO ROAD MXD, MIXED USE <br />DISTRICT; INCLUDING CERTAIN PROPERTIES IN THIS ENLARGED <br />MIXED USE DISTRICT; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River <br />County, Florida, did publish and send its Notice of Intent to <br />amend the text and map of the Land Use Element of the Comprehen- <br />sive Plan and pursuant thereto held a public hearing in relation <br />thereto, at which parties in interest and citizens were heard; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, that the Land Use <br />Element of the Comprehensive Plan of Indian River County, <br />Florida, be amended as follows: <br />SECTION 1 <br />Page 38 of the Land Use Element the Comprehensive Plan is <br />hereby amended as follows: <br />OSLO ROAD MIXED USE DISTRICT <br />Oslo Road is the major east -west thoroughfare serving the <br />southern part of the county. The greatest amount of new residen- <br />tial development will occur within the South County area; there- <br />fore, a Mixed Use District along Oslo Road has been established <br />to accommodate the anticipated growth. <br />The Mixed Use District on Oslo Road consists of two separate <br />areas, one area includes land for a depth of six hundred (600) <br />feet deep north of Oslo Road extends -from between Lateral J Canal <br />westward -moo and 22nd Avenue, tH#s-$rear Aso--tRe�u�les-e- porloon <br />land for a depth of three hundred (300) feet deep on the south <br />side of Oslo Road between 22nd Avenue and +9th 20th Avenue, land <br />for a depth of six hundred and twenty (620) feet on the south <br />side of Oslo Road between 20th Avenue and 14th Avenue, and land <br />for a depth of 300 feet between 12th Avenue and 10th Avenue. <br />CODING: Words in type are deletions from existing <br />law; words underlined are additions. <br />
