Wednesday, January 6, 1982 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River <br />County, Florida met in Regular Session at the County <br />Commission Chambers, 1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, <br />on Wednesday, January 6, 1982, at 8:30 o'clock A.M. Present <br />were Patrick B. Lyons, Chairman; William C. Wodtke, Jr., <br />Vice Chairman; Dick Bird; Alfred Grover Fletcher; and Don C. <br />Scurlock, Jr. Also present were Neil A. Nelson, County <br />Administrator; L. S. "Tommy" Thomas, Intergovernmental <br />Coordinator; Gary Brandenburg, Attorney to the Board of <br />County Commissioners; Jeffrey K. Barton, Finance Director; <br />Neal Bird, Bailiff;.and Janice Caldwell, Deputy Clerk. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order. <br />Commissioner Fletcher led the Pledge of Allegiance <br />to -the Flag, and James Ratcliff, Pastor, Christ <br />Methodist -by -the -Sea, gave the invocation. <br />ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA <br />The Chairman asked if there were any additions to <br />the agenda. <br />Attorney Brandenburg requested adding an item <br />concerning a letter from D. T. Salter regarding Treasure <br />Coast Utilities, Inc. <br />On'Motion by Commissioner Wodtke, seconded by <br />Commissioner Scurlock, the Board unanimously agreed to add <br />this emergency item to the agenda. <br />Administrator Nelson requested adding a proposed <br />resolution to honor Charles Parks, who will be retiring as <br />Recreation Director to the City of Vero Beach. <br />Commissioner Bird suggested that the resolution <br />could be adopted today and presented to him at,a later date. <br />After some discussion, it was determined that <br />Commissioner Bird would bring the matter up under his items. <br />JAN 61982 <br />EOox 48 �F4 <br />E. <br />
