� i r <br />ALTERNATIVES AND ANALYSIS: <br />(A) Initiate action which would result in the removal of this hazardous <br />structure. This would help clean up the neighborhood and remove a <br />potentially dangerous situation to the health, safety and welfare <br />of the neighborhood. <br />(B) Grant another extension of time to allow for the removal of the struc- <br />ture. If this alternative is selected, the building would continue to <br />deteriorate and present an unsafe situation and will be a continual <br />eye -sore to the community. <br />RECO' IENDATION : <br />The County Commissioners authorize staff to proceed with removal of the <br />structure. <br />The following procedures will be initiated after an affirmative vote by the <br />Board of County Commissioners. <br />ACTION BY THE COUNTY ATTORNEY: <br />(A) This will require the -County Attorney to prepare all legal <br />documentation to support the removal of said building. <br />(B) This will require the County Attorney to notify the Countv <br />Administrator's office that all legal action has been completed. <br />ACTION.BY COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR: <br />(A) County Administrator will, within seven (7) days after notice <br />from County Attorney, instruct the Road and Bridge work crew to <br />remove structure or items. <br />(B) The County Administrator will determine the cost of removal and <br />notify the owner in writing of the amount of cost. <br />FOLLOW-UP ACTION BY ATTORNEY: <br />(A) If payment from the owner or owners has not been received <br />immediately from written notice by the Administrator, the <br />County Attorney will cause a lien to be placed against the <br />property. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Lyons, seconded by <br />Commissioner Wodtke, that the Board accept the <br />recommendation of the Administrator and proceed with removal <br />of the structure, giving due notice to Rev. Willie Jones to <br />remove his possessions from the structure. <br />The Chairman called for the question. It was <br />voted on and carried with a vote of 4 to 1, with <br />O <br />Commissioner Fletcher voting in opposition. <br />JAN 6 1982 48 PACE466 <br />I <br />
