Administrator Nelson strongly recommended that <br />Civil Defense be moved into the Administration Building and <br />that an adequate emergency center be established. <br />On Motion by Commissioner Lyons, seconded by <br />Commissioner Fletcher, the Board unanimously authorized the <br />Administrator to explore the cost and possible funding for <br />Civil Defense to move to the Administration Building; and to <br />review the matter with the Public Safety Committee and the <br />i.. <br />Emergency Operating Center. <br />The Board briefly discussed the possibility of the <br />Jaycees constructing a multi-purpose building to be used as <br />a club house and meeting room, and the County could use it <br />as Civil Defense headquarters.
