I/ <br />JAN 2 0198 <br />8w 8 PA F587 <br />These purchases, if approved by the Board of County <br />Commissioners, are anticipated to be out of obligated Farmers <br />Home Administration monies. The initial contact has been <br />established with the F.H.A. by telephone by Mr. John Robbins on <br />these purchases. <br />If the Board of County Commissioners desire to pursue <br />purchase of these utilities at this time, staff recommends the <br />immediate presentation of the attached letter to F.H.A. to obtain <br />initial indications on the feasibility of the acquisitions. <br />RECOPdNIENDATI ONS : <br />It is recommended that: <br />1. The Board authorize the County Attorney and County <br />Administrator to meet with Travis Salter and negotiate his offer. <br />2. -The Board give conceptual approval.to the acquisition of <br />Ixora Utilities and authorize the County Attorney and County <br />Administrator to negotiate the financial contract form for the <br />acquisition. <br />3. The Board authorize the presentation of the attached to <br />F.H.A., thus placing the County in a position to proceed with <br />financing, if the negotiations are acceptable. <br />4. The staff be authorized to conduct the necessary <br />engineering work and to submit the pre -application to the F.H.A., <br />at the appropriate time. <br />The Board next reviewed the following letter dated January <br />14, 1982 to Farmers Home Administration regarding the <br />request for a loan to purchase Treasure Coast Utilities and <br />Ixora Utilities: <br />33 <br />� � r <br />
