r JAN 2 01987� 89oK 48H, S F 623 I <br />On Motion by Commissioner Wodtke, seconded by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously approved <br />out -of -County travel for any Commissioner or staff member to <br />attend the Florida Water Crisis Environmental Study Seminar <br />to be held at Rollins College in Winter Park, on Friday, <br />January 22, 1982. <br />LICENSING OF POWER LINE RIGHT-OF-WAYS <br />Commissioner Lyons reported on a situation that caused <br />a real stir where Florida Power & Light obtained a permit <br />from the County to put in a power Line, and it turned right <br />down a residential street, resulting in a main line right in <br />the front yards. He requested that the Administrator look <br />into this and see whether we ought to set up a procedure <br />whereby we would avoid this kind of situation recurring in <br />the future. <br />MARINE ISLAND ADVISORY COMMITTEE REAPPOINTMENTS AND BEACH <br />RESTORATION AND PRESERVATION COMMITTEE REAPPOINTMENTS <br />Commissioner Wodtke noted that the above are two <br />committees he has chaired. There are city representatives <br />and municipal representatives, and they were going to do <br />some research on the length and tenure of the committee. He <br />believed staff is checking into this also. <br />Commissioner Wodtke then noted that there is a meeting <br />of the Marine Island Advisory Committee with the Parks and <br />Recreation Committee in connection with a proposed boating <br />island coming up February 4th when he is going to be out of <br />the state. <br />Commissioner Bird believed that this meeting could be <br />rescheduled. <br />PROPOSED PARK DEVELOPMENT MASTER PLAN <br />Commissioner Bird reported _that he has been working <br />with the University of Florida in regard to obtaining their <br />assistance with a Master Plan for Parks and Recreation <br />Development, and he has not gotten the response he had hoped <br />
