I <br />B. Non -connected vested customers and non -vested customers <br />as hereinafter limited, may connect.by paying to the City <br />commodity, connection fees, service and other fees as set forth <br />in City Ordinances on a non-refundable basis, but shall not be <br />required to pay a City impact charge. The connection charge for <br />a 5/8" by 3/4" meter is presently $95.00 for the meter and <br />$11.00 service charge. These charges are subject to change <br />by City Ordinance. <br />6. During the term of this Agreement and prior to County actually <br />providing water through the County's proposed subaqueous line, <br />City grants to County (based on City's Hardy Cross Study) the right <br />to assign to non -vested third parties two hundred fifty-five <br />(255) additional 5/8 inch by 3/4th inch meter taps over and above <br />the vested taps already allocated. County agrees prior to receipt <br />of the two hundred fifty-five (255) additional taps to escrow <br />SEVEN HUNDRED NINETY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($790,000.00) sufficient <br />in amount -to construct: <br />A. Ground water storage tank and appropriate pumps; <br />B. 14" water line from the existing elevated tank to <br />Mooring Line Drive; <br />C. In line booster pump and appurtenances. <br />County agrees to engineer, let construction contracts for and <br />fund the improvements in an expeditious manner after receipt of <br />sufficient escrow funds from third parties. The parties agree that <br />six (6) months for the letting of contracts and eighteen (18) months <br />for completion of all improvements satisfies the intent of the <br />partie he additional water taps shall be available for assignment <br />by Coun )yy upon funding of the escrow as above described. Said water <br />taps shall be for immediate use by the third parties as retail <br />customers subject to payment by third parties to the City of Vero <br />Beach those connection charges set forth in paragraph 5B of this <br />Agreement. <br />In assigning the two hundred fifty-five (255) additional <br />taps, County shall give pro -rata priority to those parcels of <br />land which have previously paid some charge in either acreage or <br />special tap -on charges. <br />JAN 20 19002 -4- <br />p ;R� 48 FP'rF 628 <br />
