A public meeting was held at 11:00 A.M., January 5, 1982 in the Board Conference <br />Room, County Administration Building, 1840 25th St., Vero Beach, F1. This meet- <br />ing was advertised in the Vero Beach Press Journal on Dec. 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 1981. <br />The purpose of this meeting was to open and record the following bids: <br />IRC <br />#111 - <br />(1) 1982 <br />Truck, <br />5-6 yd dump <br />IRC <br />1#112 - <br />(1) 1982 <br />Truck, <br />12-14 yd dump <br />IRC <br />#113 - <br />(1) 1982 <br />Truck, <br />1/2 Ton 4 x 4,1 -Enclosed Cab/Body <br />IRC <br />#114 - <br />(1) 1982 <br />Tractor <br />w/5' Rotary Mower <br />IRC <br />#115 - <br />(1) 1982 <br />1/2 Ton <br />Pickup Truck <br />2. IRC #111 - 5-6 yd Dump Truck <br />16 Bid Proposals were sent out, 4 were received. <br />Minton Equipment phoned the Purchasing Department after the bids were opened and <br />stated they had made an error in addition, a copy of their worksheet is attached, <br />as well as a letter from Jim Minton requesting that their bid be rejected. <br />Velde Ford's bid was not signed as required in the General Conditions. Item #1. <br />However, as stated in the General Conditions, Item #9, the Board reserves the <br />right to waive any irregularities in bids received.
