A public meeting was held at 11:00 A.M.,- December 22, 1981 in the County Administrator's <br />Office, 2345 14th Ave., Vero Beach, F1. This meeting was advertised in the Vero Beach <br />Press Journal on November 20, 21, 22, 24, 25 & 26, 1981. The purpose of this meeting <br />was to open and record the following bid: <br />IRC #108 - (1) 1982 3/4 Ton Truck Cab & Chassis <br />2. 15 Bid Proposals were sent out, 6 were received (2 were no bids) <br />Velde Ford <br />Ft. Pierce Dodge <br />Southside Ford <br />Dependable Dodge <br />All bidders met minimum specifications. <br />$10,256.56 <br />9,128.06 <br />10,128.24- <br />9,892.81 <br />3. The Bid -Committee recommends this bid be awarded`to the low bidder, Ft. Pierce Dodge. <br />There is $16,700.00 budgeted for 2 trucks. The second truck is for a 1/2 Ton pick-up, <br />bid to be opened Jana 5 1982. <br />Account 11102-220-519-66-42 <br />Administrator Nelson reported that for.this particular <br />D-250 Dodge 3/4 ton truck, the standard engine is a 318 V8; <br />the weight is 7,500 lbs.; and the maximum payload is 3,875 <br />lbs. A 6 -cylinder engine is not available on this size <br />truck: The truck will be equipped to perform the necessary <br />field work, and Building Maintenance feels this size truck <br />is required. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Bird, seconded by <br />Commissioner Wodtke, to award Bid #108 for a 3/4 ton Pickup <br />Truck to the low bidder, Fort Pierce Dodge, as recommended. <br />17 <br />FEB 1 7 1982 <br />BOOK 48 Nc 846 <br />
