He continued that 20 people had signed up for the <br />next class, and it may take as long as two days to complete. <br />Commissioner Bird suggested that the training should be <br />separated from the testing. He did not think the County <br />should underwrite the expense to train the people who want a <br />pistol permit. <br />The fee structure was discussed. <br />Sheriff Dobeck reported that in checking with other <br />counties in the State, the fees vary from $50 to $500. <br />Commissioner Fletcher stated that even though we make <br />the applicants bring their own ammunition, Captain Tippins' <br />time must be considered. <br />On Motion made by Commissioner Lyons, seconded by <br />Commissioner Wodtke, the Board unanimously agreed to direct <br />the Administrator to work with the Sheriff to come up with a <br />new ordinance; examine the possibilities of separating the <br />training from the testing; examine the question of renewal <br />and the testing for `renewal; and to address the fee <br />schedule. <br />On Motion made by Commissioner Wodtke, seconded by <br />Commissioner Lyons, the Board unanimously agreed to stop <br />acceptance of new applications for pistol permits until the <br />adoption of a new ordinance. <br />WASHER & DRYER FOR JAIL FACILITY <br />The Board discussed the following memorandum dated <br />February 25, 1982: <br />
