MAR 31982 <br />Chairman had with Judge Stikelether in regard to the <br />replacement of the courtroom carpet, i.e., putting in foam - <br />backed carpet, tacked down, etc., on a phased basis. <br />Commissioner Lyons seconded for purpose of discussion. <br />Commissioner Lyons commented that he only seconded the <br />Motion because he felt we are put on the spot, but he hates <br />to spend this money when we are not sure it is the right <br />thing, and we want to be sure we are doing the right thing <br />for the Judges. <br />The Chairman called for the question. It was voted on <br />and failed by a 2 to 3 vote; Commissioner Fletcher and <br />Chairman Scurlock voting in favor of the Motion, and <br />Commissioners Wodtke, Bird and Lyons voting in opposition. <br />OPEN HOUSE - COUNTY ADMINISTRATION BUILDING <br />Personnel Director Hardin informed the Board that there <br />are several things they would like to resolve before holding <br />open house, such as obtaining and installing the blinds, <br />replacing some shrubbery, etc., and he requested that open <br />house be deferred for two more months. <br />The Board had no objections. <br />RESIGNATION OF ADMINISTRATOR NELSON <br />Administrator Nelson tendered his resignation per the <br />following letter: <br />
