Chairman Scurlock stated he had a question regarding <br />the lighting situation on the road to the hospital. He <br />commented that the County may have a responsibility to <br />provide some lighting on that road as it was very dark. He <br />requested that Mr. Greene follow up on the matter. <br />Commissioner Lyons reported the south side of that road <br />to the hospital was not in the street lighting district. <br />Discussion followed regarding the various projects in <br />the status report. <br />Commissioner Vdodtke inquired about the right-of-way <br />problem along R. D. Carter Road and advised that he would <br />assist if any problems arose. _ <br />Assistant Administrator Greene commented that he would._ <br />check into that matter. <br />On Motion by Commissioner Fletcher, seconded by <br />Commissioner Lyons, the Board unanimously approved the <br />status report of the Gifford Street Lighting Project; the R. <br />D. Carter Road Paving Project; and the Traffic Signal <br />Installation at 8th Street and 211th Avenue. <br />RESOLUTION - BARRIER ISLAND <br />2. Q.- _ <br />Attorney Brandenburg reviewed the proposed resolution <br />and letter to Ric Davidge, of the Department of Interior, <br />concerning the Barrier Island. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Fletcher, seconded by <br />Commissioner Lyons, that the Board adopt Resolution 82-40 <br />concerning the undeveloped portion of the Barrier Island, <br />and authorize the signature of the Chairman. <br />Commissioner Wodtke suggested sending a map along with <br />the Resolution and letter. <br />Senior Planner Challacombe advised that the map was <br />part of the attachments.
