C. Angle parking along 25th Street may be assigned either "public "employee", <br />or remain undesignated. <br />D. Angle parking on the north right of- way of 26th Street should be discouraged <br />due to safety hazard of backing out rw ements and the unpaved characteristic <br />of the rigtr of -way. <br />RECO "MRMATION <br />Because of the potential problems with assigned parking for the east employee lot, <br />Alternative B is recozmended. Angle parking along 25th Street is recommended for <br />"public" use west of 18th Arenue. Angle parking on the north right-of-way of <br />26th Street is recormended for use by the public visiting the Drivers License Bureau <br />and Welfare Office; employees should use the east employee lot. The loading area <br />at the rear entrance should be used only for short- term (i.e. less than 15 minutes) <br />parking by County employees and for delivery vehicles. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Fletchery seconded <br />by Commissioner Wodtke, for purposes of discussion, to <br />accept Alternate B, as recommended by,Mr. Davis. <br />Commissioner Wodtke stated he would support an amend- <br />ment to Alternate B;.wc should designate one official <br />place for each constitutional officer. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Wodtke, seconded by <br />Commissioner Lyons, to amend the original Motion and have <br />it include one parking space for each of the four constitutional <br />officers: Property Appraiser; Tax ..Collector; Clerkof the <br />Court; and the Supervisor of Elections. <br />Commissioner Wodtke commented that the Clerk of the <br />Court could designate.her parking space to the Finance Director <br />for banking use. <br />Assistant Administrator Greene stated that staff was <br />reluctant and preferred not to furnish these spaces, as they <br />felt they were here to serve the public and the spaces should <br />be used for the public. <br />The Chairman called for the question on the Motion <br />amending the original Motion. It was voted on and carried <br />with a vote of 3 to 2, with Commissioner Fletcher and <br />Chairman Scurlock voting in opposition. <br />The Chairman called for the question on the original <br />Motion.
