Roddenberry on the south, noting that when she <br />bought her property 23 years ago that road was open all the <br />way to the river, as shown in red, and Mr. Holmes placed <br />those sand piles there. <br />Leon Blanton, 2666 67th St. (Quay Dock Road), reported <br />that he had been before the Board previously in regard to <br />this same situation; the Board at that time had made it <br />clear they had no intention of giving away any public <br />property, and he felt the matter had been`completely <br />resolved. Mr. Blanton continued that Mr. Roddenberry was <br />then the only one who appeared in opposition to keeping the <br />road open, and now he states he merely wants the <br />discrepancies cleared up. Mr. Blanton wished to know if Mr.. <br />Roddenberry has changed his priorities and now does not want <br />to close the road. <br />Attorney Roddenberry believed that Mr. Blanton may have <br />misunderstood him at that time. He stated that his <br />objective the entire time was to- straighten out all the <br />titles involved. <br />Mr. Blanton felt Mr. Roddenberry avoided his question <br />and that because he now sees that he ha -s all these people in <br />an uproar he has changed his priorities. Mr. Blanton <br />stressed that the people merely are asking that the Board <br />not give away something that belongs to the people. <br />On Motion by Commissioner Lyons, seconded by <br />Commissioner Fletcher, the Board unanimously extended the <br />meeting to 6:00 P.M. <br />Walter Brant informed the Board that in 1926 he helped <br />to pave that strip from the highway to the river, and he <br />believed it has a value the County can't afford to give up, <br />79 <br />APR 71982 �W. <br />
