Commissioner Lyons inquired if the man from WGYL was <br />doing the work on the sound system. <br />work. <br />Dr. Hardin responded that a man on staff was doing the <br />Commissioner Lyons pointed out that the County had a <br />contract with WGYL and suggested we stay with them since <br />they designed the system; they should continue on and finish <br />the job. <br />Commissioner Fletcher noted that the east wall in the <br />courtroom was getting damp, the rug was wet, and the paint <br />was blistering off the wall. He then described the water <br />problem in the ramp area leading from the Annex to the <br />elevator lobby. <br />Mr. Greene commented that this matter was brought to the <br />attention of Mr. Reinhold - he needs to correct this situation. <br />A brief discussion followed regarding the vibration <br />noise in the air conditioning system.. <br />Mr. Williams felt it was motor noise; they could line <br />the air return duct with insulation, and check the mounting. <br />Other than that, the unit could be moved in the hall. <br />Dr. Hardin added that there were problems with-Tinding <br />space for court to be held, and they are trying to make <br />arrangements at the Elks Hall. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Wodtke, seconded by <br />Commissioner Lyons, that the Chairman or staff be authorized <br />to contact the Chief Judge to arrange for a temporary judge to <br />be appointed to help release some of the judges' workloads in <br />the existing courtrooms. 1, <br />Discussion followed, and it was determined that the Chairman <br />and Attorney would discuss with the Chief Judge the possibility <br />of requesting to have another judge temporarily appointed and <br />come to the County to relieve the burden of cases, using the <br />existing courtrooms. <br />The Chairman called for the question.
