Mr. Williams further <br />reported that they have installed ultra violet lights in the <br />returns to the courtrooms, plus dual filtration charcoal <br />filters which are changed regularly. In addition, Ecolo- <br />gizers, which are advertised to remove formaldehyde from the <br />air, have been purchased at a cost of $25.00 apiece. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Lyons to install <br />scarecrows on the Courthouse roof as requested by the Judge <br />to keep the pigeons off. Motion died for lack of a second. <br />Commissioner Lyons stated the reason he brought this <br />subject up today was that it seems we are getting to the <br />point of pitting one expert against another and maybe we <br />ought to find out who our expert is going to be. <br />Dr. Hardin stated that he will now answer Judge Smith's <br />letter, and Commissioner Bird suggested that they contact <br />Judge Stikelether by telephone and inquire about his <br />response to the recently installed rug. <br />DISCUSSION ON CONSEQUENCES OF REAPPORTIONMENT <br />Commissioner Lyons informed the Board that it appears <br />that the Reapportionment of Districts recently approved by <br />the State Legislature apparently does not agree with our <br />precinct lines, and if we go along with this, it seems that <br />it may cost the County between $8,000 and $9,000 to redo the <br />voting precincts. He wished to know if there is some action <br />the County can take in this regard, possibly joining in any <br />lawsuit that may be instituted. <br />In further discussion, it was agreed that the Attorney <br />should check into this and report back. <br />The Board thereupon recessed for lunch at 12:40 o'clock <br />P.M. and reconvened at 1:45 o'clock P.M., all members being <br />
