JUN 91982 <br />poop 49 nu <br />MOTION was made by Commissioner Lyons, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Bird, that the Board <br />accept the recommendation of the Chairman, <br />as outlined in his memorandum of June 3, 1982, <br />with the understanding that the amount be <br />rounded to meet the payroll dollars set up; <br />that he be. given an increase of 5% as promised <br />for satisfactory performance, and a 20 merit <br />increase, effective with the next pay period. <br />Commissioner Bird commented that he had the privilege <br />of working with the County Attorney, and felt the County was <br />in good hands. <br />Commissioner Fletcher inquired about the six months <br />automatic salary increase. <br />Dr. Hardin explained that this was the procedure before <br />he came to the County to work. At the present time, he <br />added, they were not adding on a percentage at the end of <br />the six month period for a new employee. An increase was <br />determined on the rating given by the superintendent and <br />department head, and if there was enough money in the <br />budget. <br />Brief discussion followed concerning the Attorney's <br />merits and the efficiency of his office. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION. It was voted on <br />and carried unanimously. <br />BOARD WELCOMED C. B. HARDIN <br />The Board welcomed C. B. Hardin to his new position as <br />Acting Administrator and wished him well. <br />ADDITIONS TO AGENDA <br />The Chairman suggested adding an item to the agenda <br />concerning an unfortunate conflict in Commissioner Wodtke's <br />schedule 'for July. <br />
