Wednesday, July 14, 1982 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River' <br />County, Florida, met in Special Session at the County <br />Commission Chambers, 1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, <br />on Wednesday, July 14, 1982, at 8:30 o'clock A.M. Present <br />were Don C. Scurlock, Jr., Chairman; Alfred Grover Fletcher, <br />Vice Chairman; Dick Bird; and Patrick B. Lyons. Absent was <br />William C. Wodtke, Jr., who was out of state. Also present <br />were C. B. Hardin, Acting County Administrator; L. S. <br />"Tommy" Thomas, Community Services Director; Gary <br />Brandenburg, Attorney to the Board of County Commissioners; <br />Jeffrey K. Barton, Finance Director, and Virginia <br />Hargreaves, Deputy Clerk. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order. <br />Commissioner Bird led the Pledge of Allegiance to the <br />Flag. <br />ADDITIONS TO AGENDA <br />The Chairman asked if there were any additions to the <br />Agenda. <br />Attorney Brandenburg requested that the matter of Bond <br />Counsel Judson Freeman's fee letter, which was inadvertently <br />overlooked at the last meeting be added to today's agenda. <br />ON MOTION BY Commissioner Lyons, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously <br />agreed to add the emergency item to the agenda <br />as requested by Attorney Brandenburg. <br />Commissioner Lyons reported that he had gotten a late <br />request from the Vero Beach Library to put its grant <br />contract on the agenda.
