Description and Conditions <br />The Board approved at the May 26, 1982 meeting, the transfer of $17,500 <br />from Account #111-214-541-66-44 (Traffic Signals and Markers) into Account <br />#111-214-541-66-42 (Automotive) to replace Vehicle #100 (1975 Chevrolet <br />Sign Truck) and Vehicle #73 (1973 Ford Maverick). <br />Bids were received June 22, 1982, at 11:00 A.M. for (1) 1982 One Ton; H.D. <br />Truck, Cab & Chassis. - <br />15 Bid Proposals were sent out. <br />"No Bid". <br />2.`Alternatives and Analysis <br />Of the -4 bidders responding, 1 was a <br />t <br />The low bidder was Sunshine Dodge for a 1983 Dodge in the amount of $8882.90, <br />with a delivery time of 60 days after August 1, 1982. The Purchasing Department <br />telephoned Mr. Ed Mckenna of Sunshine Dodge regarding delivery.-. Mr. McKenna <br />said that he telephoned the factory and delivery could probably -'be made by <br />September 13, 1982, however they will not guarantee it. <br />3. Recommendations and.Funding <br />It is recommended that the bid be awarded to Sunshine Dodge for a 1983 Dodge in <br />the amount of $8882.90, contingent upon delivery by September 13, 1982. <br />Commissioner Fletcher asked if these trucks are being <br />replaced, and if they are)what is done with the old trucks. <br />Mr. Williams explained that these two trucks were <br />approved several months ago; they were not in the budget <br />before.
