Use of Kiwanis-Hobart Field <br />Commissioner Bird, who has been re-elected Chairman of <br />the Parks & Recreation Committee, reported that use of the <br />Kiwanis-Hobart Park ballfield has been requested for North <br />County baseball, and they are getting an estimate on <br />lighting of the field. <br />F. Parks Budget <br />The Committee approved the Parks Budget as submitted <br />and approved the North County Budget with a slight amendment <br />re shifting some funds to Fellsmere. <br />G. Retarded Citizens Request Summer Camp Program <br />Commissioner Bird reported that a request had been <br />received from the Association for Retarded Citizens for <br />$4,000 for a summer camp program. The Committee approved <br />the request, and it will come up in budget sessions. <br />H. Appointment of Valaria Brant to Parks & Recreation <br />rr,.nm4 4-+-,=,m <br />ON MOTION by Commissiner Bird, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Lyons, the Board unanimously <br />appointed Valaria Brant to the Parks & Recrea- <br />tion Committee to replace Ralph Lundy as the <br />representative of the Gifford community. <br />Extension of Lease on Gifford Park <br />Commissioner Bird informed the Board that negotiations <br />have been carried on with the Town of Indian River Shores in <br />regard to extending the lease on the Gifford Park, and a <br />letter has been received from the Town's attorney indicating <br />that the Town would be willing to extend the terms of the <br />53 <br />JUL 14 1982 F®oK 50 Phu 502 <br />
