Commis- <br />sioner Bird stated that he was hoping for a longer <br />extension, but until the Town can work out their water <br />situation, they are reluctant to make it longer. - <br />Commissioner Lyons stated that he could not emphasize <br />enough how important it is to keep the Gifford Park <br />operating. He believed this has accomplished a great deal <br />of good in keeping the children off the streets. He again <br />suggested that the County should put in street lights around <br />the restroom in the Gifford park as we have done in other <br />parks. <br />Commissioner Bird stated the Committee would look into <br />this. <br />SOUTH COUNTY FIRE DISTRICT MEETING <br />The Board of County Commissioners recessed at 11:20 <br />o'clock A.M. so that the South County Fire District Board <br />might convene. Those Minutes are being prepared separately. <br />NORTH COUNTY FIRE DISTRICT MEETING <br />The Board of County Commissioners reconvened at 11:32 <br />o'clock A.M. and immediately recessed so that the North <br />County Fire District Board might convene. Those Minutes are <br />being prepared separately. <br />The Board of County Commissioners reconvened at 11:34 <br />o'clock A.M. with the same members present, Commissioner <br />Wodtke being out of State. <br />EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES COMMITTEE - RE ADVANCED LIFE <br />SUPPORT SYSTEM <br />Chairman Scurlock noted there had been some discussion <br />at the last meeting on the recommendation of the Advanced <br />Life Support Committee for approval of the plan presented by <br />Dr. Lucas, and it was felt a definite vote should be taken. <br />He stated that he personally was opposed to the proposed <br />54 <br />
