Commissioner Lyons felt that they did not need this <br />Certificate from the County. He added that they operate in <br />the same way the County fire department does; they have <br />three people on duty in their firehouse and when two people <br />go out on a call, one person is left in the fire house. <br />Commissioner Lyons pointed out that the County had all it <br />could do to support what it had, and did not feel approving <br />a Certificate of Need would be practical. <br />Attorney Brandenburg explained that the County does <br />have the discretion whether or not to grant a Certificate of <br />Need in order for the Town of Indian River Shores to obtain <br />a license from the State. <br />Commissioner Lyons stated that the basis for his Motion <br />was that the request was premature. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION.
