r 0 f'W750 <br />AUG 41982 <br />FLORIDA CABLEVISION - OPERATING LICENSE <br />The Board reviewed the following information from the <br />Environmental Engineer: <br />TO: The. Honorable Board of DATE: July 13, 1982 <br />County Commissioners <br />FILE: <br />SUBJECT: Request for County Operating <br />THRU: Dr. C.B. Hare Jr., Ph.D. License for Florida Cablevision <br />Acting Count ministrator <br />FROM: Donald B. Smith, REFERENCES: <br />Environmental Engineer/Franchise Inspector <br />DESCRIPTION & CONDITIONS <br />The Florida Cablevision company is currently operating in Indian <br />River County as a franchised entity under a newly revised licensing <br />ordinance for CATV companies. At the present, Florida Cablevision is <br />operating without a County license and needs to be issued one under <br />the terms of Ordinance 82-7. <br />ALTERNATIVES & ANALYSIS <br />A proposed copy of the license is attached. This was reviewed by <br />the County Attorney as to form'and is submitted for approval of the <br />Board of County Commissioners. <br />RECOMMENDATION & FUNDING <br />It is recommended that the Board of County Commissioners approve <br />and execute the proposed County license. <br />MOTION WAS MADE BY Commissioner Lyons, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Wodtke, that the Board approve <br />and execute the proposed County license for <br />Florida.Cablevision Corporation. <br />The Attorney explained that this company has been <br />franchised in the past and you just have to go on record as <br />giving them the license. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION. It was <br />voted on and carried with a vote of 4 to 1, with <br />Commissioner Fletcher voting in opposition. <br />
