that opportunities for Special Master appointments exist and <br />a list of qualified persons could be developed. Once all <br />the petitions were in and the Property Appraiser saw what <br />the magnitude was of commercial and industrial petitions, it <br />could be brought back to the Board at that time. He added <br />that a final determination could then be made as to whether <br />to employ Special Masters or whether it could be handled <br />in-house. <br />MOTION WAS MADE BY Commissioner Lyons, that the <br />Clerk be authorized to notify qualified applicants <br />that opportunities for Special Master appointments <br />exist and that the PAAB be given the opportunity <br />to decide whether or not they need Special <br />Masters. <br />Commissioner Bird SECONDED THE MOTION and also <br />recommended that Attorney Paull and Mr. Nolte <br />appear before the School Board with their <br />presentation, giving them the same opportunity <br />this Board had today so at least, in concept, <br />they could be in agreement. <br />Commissioner Lyons agreed. <br />Commissioner Fletcher inquired if there was money for <br />this in the budget. <br />Community Services Director Thomas advised that there <br />was $10,000 allocated for this purpose. <br />Commissioner Fletcher asked if this would require an <br />increase in the Contingency Fund. <br />Mr. Thomas responded negatively.
