SEC. 2 ca <br />DRIVE-IN BUSINESS: Any place of business or premise which serves, <br />sells, or otherwise makes available its services to patrons situated <br />in automobiles. <br />DWELLING, SINGLE FAMILY: A building designed for or occupied ex- <br />clusively by one family as a housekeeping unit. <br />DWELLING, MULTIPLE FAMILY: A building designed for or occupied <br />by two or more families living independently of each other. <br />EARTH MOVING: Any change in grade of land 5,000 square feet or <br />larger in area by one foot or more in elevation. <br />FAMILY: Any number of individuals related by blood, marriage, <br />or legal adoption, and not more than four persons not so related, liv- <br />ing together as a single housekeeping unit. Foster children and domes- <br />tic servants are considered part of a family. <br />FLOOR AREA: Floor area shall be determined by measuring the outside <br />dimensions of all enclosed floor area under roof, excluding garages, <br />open and screened porches, carports, terraces and patios. <br />FRUIT STANDS: A building or structure used exclusively for the <br />retail sale of fruit, vegetables, jellies and/or honey. <br />GARAGE, PRIVATE: A detached accessory building or portion of a <br />main building used for the parking or storage of automobiles of the <br />occupants of the main building. A carport would be considered a pri- <br />vate garage. <br />GASOLINE SERVICE STATION: Any structure, building or land, used <br />for the dispensing, sale, or offering for sale, at retail, of any motor <br />vehicle fuels, oils or accessories and in connection with which is per- <br />formed general motor vehicle servicing as distinguished from repair ser- <br />vice. <br />GREENHOUSES: A building wherein the temperature and humidity can <br />be regulated for the cultivation of exotic or out of season plants.. <br />GUEST COTTAGES: An accessory dwelling unit which is incorporated <br />in, attached to, or detached from a principal residential building and <br />which is used exclusively by occupants of the principal residence and/ <br />or for the non-commercial accommodation of persons visiting the occu- <br />pants of the principal dwelling. <br />HOME OCCUPATION: Any occupation or activity carried on within a <br />residential property, where the activity is conducted only by members <br />of the family living within the residence, where products are not offer- <br />ed for sale from the premises, where no evidence of the occupation is <br />-3- <br />
