Section 21-141 Creation; boundaries of unit. <br />There is hereby created the Gifford Area Municipal Taxing <br />Unit under the authority of Section 125.01, Florida <br />Statutes. The boundary of said service taxing unit shall be <br />as follows: <br />T-he-south-haVf--cf-Sec-t-ion 2-�-,—the sou -t" f <br />of Section 22; the southwest quarter of Section <br />23; the north half of Section 28; the north half <br />of Section 27; the northwest quarter of Section <br />26; including Tract 12 and the west half of Tract <br />11 and the northwest quarter of Tract 14 of <br />Section 27; including Tracts 9, 10, 11 and 12 of <br />Section 28; including the South 9,5 acres of the <br />southwest quarter of the northeast quarter of <br />Section 2T -lying west of—tli-e—Late� H canal <br />including that portion of Tract 13, Section 27 in <br />the unincorporated area of Indian River County; <br />all in Township 32 South, Range 39 East, Indian <br />River County, Florida. <br />SECTION 2. AMENDMENT TO ASSESSMENT CAP <br />Section 2L-14-3_. "Ia\ty___o_f taxes_, ad-aRtion of <br />budget" which reads in pertinent part as follows: <br />The tax shall be equal and uniform under <br />each acre of land assessed and the minimum tax <br />shall not be less than the one -acre rate. The <br />one -acre rate shall not exceed twelve dollars <br />($12.00). IS HEREBY.AMENDED to read as follows: <br />The assessment shall be equal and uniform. <br />SECTION 3. SEVERABILITY. <br />If any section, or if any sentence, paragraph, <br />phrase, or word of this ordinance is for any reason held to <br />be unconstitutional, inoperative, or void, such holding <br />shall not affect the remaining portions of this ordinance, <br />and 1-t shat I- be—cons- rued—t-0- have --Keen t -he Fegislat+ve <br />intent to pass the ordinance without such unconstitutional, <br />invalid or inoperative part. <br />SECTION 4.
