She noted that they serve <br />over 2,000 people in this area and believe they can triple <br />that number. <br />The Board continued to discuss various options re <br />leasing or deeding the subject property, and Ms. McCoy asked <br />if the Board was saying that they would not be interested in <br />deeding or leasing the entire complex to her group. <br />It was indicated that that was the general feeling of <br />the Board. <br />Commissioner Wodtke asked if the medical group would <br />bid on the Douglas School if the School Board were to sell <br />it, and Ms. McCoy explained that the money they have is <br />earmarked for renovation and upkeep and they cannot purchase <br />a -building at this time. <br />Commissioner Bird commented that because he is not in <br />favor of deeding this property 100% to the Health Service <br />does not mean he is not entirely in support of their <br />organization. He now felt that possibly the County should <br />accept the facility and work out an arrangement with the <br />West Wabasso Civic League and a separate arrangement with <br />the Health people. <br />Commissioner Fletcher asked if the Civic League desired <br />the building more for their own uses than for the health <br />program. <br />Mrs. Ingram stated that they definitely want the health <br />program, but now it seems that group is put in first place <br />which the Civic League does not like. <br />Commissioner Fletcher noted that he would like to -put <br />the Civic League in the top position, but he did not feel <br />the two groups are communicating too well. <br />Mrs. Ingram explained that when the Health people <br />Elm <br />M <br />x . 51 PkoE 32,6 <br />
