Dr. Burns in regard to some renovations. <br />It was pointed out <br />that this would put the League in a position to negotiate <br />directly with the others, and in the event things cannot be <br />worked out satisfactorily, they can always say they don't <br />want the buildings. <br />Reverend Floyd asked why they have to accept the entire <br />complex or nothing, and Commissioner Fletcher pointed out <br />that it is hard to divide what is hooked up electrically, <br />etc., and noted that although they would be taking on a <br />heavier load, it would give them more opportunities to work <br />things out. <br />Jeannette Ridgewater spoke in favor of the community <br />taking on the entire operation because it will provide them <br />with more opportunities. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION. <br />It was voted on and carried unanimously. <br />WELFARE BUILDING RENOVATION <br />Acting General Services Director Lynn Williams reviewed <br />the following memo: <br />TO: The Honorable Members of DATE: September 9, 1982 FILE: Agenda <br />the Board of County Commissioners September 15, 196 <br />THRU: Michael Wright <br />County Administrator SUBJECT: Welfare Building Renovation Cost <br />FROM:Lynn Williams, REFERENCES: <br />Acting General Services Director <br />As directed by the Board at the September 1, 1982 meeting, County <br />Attorney, Gary Brandenburg and this writer met with Judge Stikelether <br />on September 3, 1982, concerning the possibility of making certain <br />modifi,catioAs or alterations to the Welfare Building to allow <br />County Court proceedings to be held there. <br />General discussion centered around what the Judge felt would be <br />necessary and acceptable.
