SEP 15 1982 <br />Box 5 . Pnt ,!Z9 <br />the list of proposed alterations before presenting it to the <br />Board. This is to insure a firm understanding of what hel-considers <br />essential. <br />Listed below please find projected costs associated with this project: <br />PROJECTED COSTS <br />WELFARE BUILDING ALTERATIONS <br />$1500.00 Demolition of interior walls to allow <br />a Courtroom approximately 12 feet by <br />50 feet; seating capacity approximately 50. <br />Patch walls where demolition occurs. <br />Paint one coat latex paint as approved by <br />Judge Stikelether. <br />1300.00 Paint exterior of building as approved <br />by Judge Stikelether. <br />350.00 Dropped ceiling in area presently used <br />as office. <br />300.00 Paint office area area with paint approved by <br />Judge Stikelether. <br />1200.00 Replace present room air conditioner with <br />units equipped with heat (3 units). <br />$4650.00 Total Projected Costs <br />Mr. Williams reported that he has reviewed these <br />alterations with Judge Stikelether and also checked them <br />with the City Planning Department, and they will require <br />minor site plan approval. He noted that the Judge <br />originally did request siding, but the Building Department <br />will not allow that because of the location of a frame <br />building in the fire district. Mr. Williams continued that <br />all painting is contingent on obtaining approval from Judge <br />Stikelether re the type of paint to which he can be exposed. <br />The main costs are associated with demolishing interior <br />walls to allow enough room to hold court with a maximum of <br />50 people. The Judge says he can split his plea days up. <br />The problem of obtaining adequate parking space, which <br />is necessary for site plan approval, was brought up, and it <br />72 <br />
