By September 1990, <br />the county will have a grease/fuel oil ordinance to <br />complement the existing industrial waste pre-treatment <br />provision. <br />POLICY 6.9: All future connections to the regional wastewa- <br />ter system shall be consistent with the attached water and <br />wastewater connection matrix (Table 3.A.16). <br />OBJECTIVE 7 Intergovernmental Coordination <br />By 1992, the county will establish a regular coordination mecha- <br />nism with other local governments and agencies for an effective <br />system of wastewater management. <br />POLICY 7.1: Consistent with its interlocal agreements with <br />thetheCiity of Sebastian and the Town of Orchid, the county <br />shall provide sanitary sewer services to those.municipalities <br />and continue to investigate new technologies by - <br />0 <br />Identifying new technologies for wastewater treatment; <br />° Identifying new methods for reuse of irrigation quality <br />ef-fluent; <br />Assessing the feasibility of implementing these new <br />technologies in Indian River County; <br />° Preparing cost/benefit analyses. for promising <br />technologies. <br />POLICY 7.2: The county shall continue to utilize existing <br />interlocal agreements with other local governments, as <br />identified on Table 13.3 of the Intergovernmental <br />Coordination Element, to ensure maximum efficiency of <br />wastewatermana_gement, by combining resources and eliminating <br />duplications. <br />POLICY 7.3: The county, in coordination with other local <br />governments, shall study the feasibility of combining the <br />operational responsibilities of all regional facilities <br />
