W_q4 Legal Status of the Comprehensive Plan <br />Sec. 800.05 Timetable for Comprehensive Plan Amendment <br />Sec -.ADD -.06 Establishment <br />Amendments <br />Sec. 800.07 Procedures for <br />of Fee-ffo-r�omprehensive I <br />Comprehensive Plan Amendments <br />Section 800.01 Short Title <br />This dhapter, shall . be known as the Adopted Ind ann River County <br />Comprehensive-P-lan ordinance. <br />Section 800.02 <br />Purpose and Intent <br />die 1990 rndian--River-County Comprehensive -Plan was prepared—in <br />accordance -with -Chapter =.161, Par -t -II, Florida Statutes, "The -Local <br />Government Comprehensive Planning and Land Development Regulation <br />Act of 198511, and Florida Administrative Code Rule 9J-5, "Minimum <br />Criteria or eview of Local Government Comprehensive Plans --and <br />Determination o -f --C- ompliance" . This -plan replaces the -1982-County <br />Comprehensive Plan which was prepared pursuant to the requirements <br />of the Local Government Comprehensive Planning Act of 1975. <br />It -is --the intent o --this Plan to encourage the most appropr4ate--use <br />of -land, water, -and resources consistent with the public interest; <br />to overcome present deficiencies and deal effectively with future <br />problems that may result from the use and development of land <br />within the unincorporated areas of Indian River County; to <br />facilitate the adequate and efficient provision of transportation, <br />water, sewerage, parks, recreational facilities, housing, and other <br />senvices; and to conserve, develop, utilize, and protect natural <br />resources -within t -he -unincorporated ar-eas-,of Indian River County. <br />Furthermore mechanisms to facilitate intergovernmental <br />coordination between the county, its municipalities, regional <br />agencies, and smote agencies panning and development <br />activities -arm Rr-eeented. <br />ection X0 03 Adopt—ed Indian Iver County Comprehensive -Plan <br />The 199L -Indian River _County Comprehensive Plan has been <br />reproduced in two forms. These two forms are the completed <br />comprehensive plan and the adopted portion of the <br />comprehensive-rlan.
