9/7/90 <br />components formally adopted by the Board of County <br />Commissioners. Consisting of all goals, objectives, and <br />policies of each plan element, various map series, the entire <br />pita -1 --improvements elemen , and, other omponents, the <br />adopted portion of -the plan contains -those -required components <br />identified in 9J-5.005 (1)(c). The Indian River County <br />Comprehensive Plan has been adopted by Ordinance No. 90-3, <br />The adopted portionof than, consistsof the following: <br />plan, <br />(a) Goals, Objectives, and Policies of all elements <br />The goals, objectives and policies are the most important <br />part of the plan. These are the actions which the county <br />will take in order to direct the community's development <br />(See Appendix "All). Following are the definitions of <br />these terms and their relation to each other: <br />I. Goal: Long term end toward which programs or <br />activities are ultimately directed. <br />2. Objective: A specific, measurable, intermediate end <br />that is achievable and marks progress toward a goal. <br />3.iz cy:The couree of action or way in which <br />programs and activities are conducted to achieve an <br />identified goal or objective. <br />(b) Required Maps Showing Future Conditions <br />This section includes required maps pursuant to FAC 9J - <br />5.005(c). which show future conditions. The most <br />important map is the future land use map series which <br />depicts the type, density, and intensity of uses within <br />uninco-rpor�ions of the county_.—The-Lollowing is <br />the list of maps which have been adopted. <br />I. Land Use Maps: <br />Figures 2.10, 2.14, 2.16,.2.17, 2.18, 2.21, 2.23, <br />a., and 2.34 <br />2.
