POTABLE WATERSUB-ELEMENT <br />distribution--network-in order--ta--correct the existing defi- <br />ciencies and- maintain- the established level of service <br />standard. <br />OBJECTIVE-3Potab-le Dater and Groundwater Quality <br />By -1992-, th-e 'county as part of the Qeinitting process, will have a <br />set of adopted requirements governing the use of potable water and <br />groundwater�nsure the omppan ce with f-ede��tate laws <br />POLICY 3.1:' The county shall maintain the existing treatment <br />processes- to ensure aestffe-t-ically pleasing water, w i.le <br />meeting -all EPA -and -DER requirements. <br />POLICY 3.2: The county, through the County Public Health <br />Unit,' Division of Environmental Health�, shall nitrate an <br />annuar-permitting -program for- evaluation= -of all -private water <br />treatment _plants. The _results -_f- this_ evaluation shall he <br />used for the prioritization of further expansion of potable <br />water service. <br />OBJECTIVE 4 Water Conservation <br />By 1995, the county wrrrhavea- program in-place for -reduction of <br />water use -consistent with -federal, state and regional policy plan <br />Goals and regulations. <br />POLICY -4-.l---The county sheil--require the use of--irrigat on <br />qua 1it I,-.-) )-off lue-int for irrigat-ion- in parks -and facil- <br />ities having significant open_ space areas (golf courses, <br />medians, etc.) which are located within the County Utilities <br />Department service area and are within 1 mile of the nearest <br />I,Q_ Line; where such rause is authori?Pd by regulatory <br />agencies.
