additional expenditures for that courtroom to be completely <br />renovated over and over, as well as the courthouse, unless <br />something more concrete was presented to him. Chairman <br />-Scurlock stated that he had not heard anything concrete, and <br />the Doctor had indicated that all of his suggestions, in <br />fact, may not effect a total, good situation for the Judge. <br />Judge Stikelether asked if there was any suggestion <br />anywhere that he was not handling his caseload? <br />Chairman Scurlock stated that was not what he had <br />indicated. He indicated that he was doing an absolutely <br />excellent job; there was no problem with his performance. <br />The Chairman had just indicated that with the request for an <br />additional judge, the Board had some documentation that said <br />that other judges have about half Judge Stikelether's <br />caseload. Therefore, there was a vehicle possibly for <br />providing the Judge some additional space, and pursuing an <br />additional judge for the County. <br />Judge Stikelether stated he appreciated what the <br />Chairman had said. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Lyons, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Wodtke, that the Board approve <br />continuing to rent space in the American Legion <br />Hall until a suitable substitute was agreed upon, <br />funding to come from the County Commission <br />Contingency; that the Judge will continue to use <br />the Welfare Building, with no renovations, as his <br />office space; that the Board pursue the matter of <br />getting an additional County Judge -to relieve <br />Judge Stikelether's caseload. <br />Chairman Scurlock <br />indicated <br />he would <br />vote <br />for <br />the <br />Motion only in that it <br />provides <br />that we <br />will <br />seek <br />an <br />OCT 20 1982 23 <br />51 %E671 <br />
