RESOLUTION NO. 82-112 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, TERMINATING THE <br />WATER PORTION OF THE WANTER SEWER FRANCHISE GRANTED <br />TO "CUSTOMER SERVICES, INC." PURSUANT TO RESOLUTION <br />NO. 75-66, INCORPORATING THE FRANCHISE AREA INTO <br />THE COUNTY -WIDE WATER SYSTEM AND AUTHORIZING THE <br />IMPOSITION OF STANDARD COUNTY RATES. <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian <br />River County on October 8, 1975, adopted Resolution No. 75-66 <br />known as the "Customer Services, Inc. Sewer and Water Franchise" <br />granting a water and sewer franchise to Customer Services, Inc., a <br />Florida corporation, and <br />WHEREAS, the franchise provided that the resolution <br />would continue in force and effect until such time as the County <br />had the capacity to provide the franchise area with a treated <br />water system, and <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County currently has the capacity <br />to provide the franchise area with treated water. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that: <br />1. the water portion of the water and sewer franchise <br />granted to Customer Services, Inc. pursuant to Resolution No. <br />75-66 is hereby terminated and the sewer portion of said.franchise <br />will remain in full force and effect until terminated pursuant to <br />its provisions, and <br />2. the Indian -River County Utilities Department is <br />authorized and directed to supply the franchise territory with <br />treated water from the County's combined water system and to <br />impose standard County rates upon all users within the system <br />commencing November 1, 1982. <br />The foregoing resolution was offered by Commissioner <br />Lyons who moved its adoption.
