4=1 <br />_ M M <br />DISCUSSION WITH JUDGE STIKELETHER RE RETURN TO THE <br />COURTHOUSE <br />Commissioner Fletcher referred to the item discussed <br />this morning in regard to the courtroom situation and Judge <br />Stikelether where the Board reversed their earlier position <br />and directed the Judge to return to the Courthouse by <br />December 1st. He continued that he would like the <br />Commissioners to explain their feelings directly to the <br />Judge, who is present -at this time. <br />Judge Stikelether wished to have clarification re what <br />type notification he had that this matter was on the agenda. <br />Attorney Brandenburg reported that his office mailed <br />the Judge a report on the formaldehyde symposium last <br />Wednesday or Thursday. <br />Commissioner Fletcher asked if any attempt -was -made to <br />notify the Judge that this issue would be brought up on <br />today's agenda, and Attorney Brandenburg stated his office <br />had not done so. <br />Judge Stikelether asked that Commissioner Fletcher <br />report what time he told the Judge this item was on the <br />agenda. <br />Commissioner Fletcher commented that although we <br />normally try to inform people, it happens occasionally that <br />some are left out. With a sensitive situation such as this, <br />however, he would have thought that we might have notified <br />the Judge we were going to reconsider the situation, and <br />that is one reason, when he learned this was added, that he <br />left the Commission Chambers knowing that the Judge was in <br />the back room witnessing the absentee ballot count, and <br />informed the Judge that there was a possibility of <br />reconsideration of the Board's previous action relating to <br />the Judge returning to the Courthouse. <br />The Judge agreed that Commissioner Fletcher conveyed <br />this <br />information to him and asked <br />if he would like <br />to be <br />1982 <br />106 <br />non <br />51 Pf,a 913 <br />
