Lyo s <br />a <br />DATE: October 25, 19 2 <br />SUBJECT: Appointments to Treasure Coast Regional Planning <br />Council <br />I know that Mr. Todd'feels that one year on the Planning— <br />Council <br />lanningCouncil is insufficient to -become -fully effective and that he <br />would like to serve a second year. <br />I would like to see us convey this to the other <br />municipalities and see if they would have any objection to him <br />remaining as the municipal representative for an additional year. <br />Commissioner Lyons commented -that we previously have <br />rotated this appointment everyyear, and he would now like <br />to determine if there is any objection to changing—this <br />practice. <br />Commissioner Bird favored the idea of the Regional <br />Planning Council appointee serving two years rather than <br />changing every year. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Fletcher, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Lyons, the Board unanimously <br />authorized the Chairman to ask the municipalities <br />if they have any objections to the reappointment <br />of Mr. Todd to Treasure Coast Regional Planning <br />Council and whether they would prefer two year <br />f <br />terms in the future. <br />DISCUSSION OF HUMANE SOCIETY <br />Commissioner Lyons reported that he has received a <br />request from the Humane Society in regard to negotiating <br />once again about a location for their building. He reminded <br />the Board that some time ago we had a piece of property <br />rezoned across from the County garage so the Humane Society <br />�� 3 1982 134 wx 51 961 <br />
