This would be supplied in turn for the <br />Humane Society supplying certain services to the County. <br />Chairman Scurlock believed it would be good to <br />reestablish the relationship and noted that the Humane <br />Society now has a new president. <br />Commissioner Fletcher suggested it might be more <br />economical to put in a well, but it was pointed out that a <br />shallow well would not work because of the Landfill <br />previously located on this property. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Wodtke, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Lyons, the Board unanimously <br />authorized Commissioner Lyons to negotiate <br />with the Humane Society regarding the property <br />at the old Landfill across from the County garage. <br />RESIGNATION FROM BEACH PRESERVATION.AND RESTORATION <br />COMMITTEE <br />Commissioner Wodtke reported that he has been in touch <br />with Mrs. Link of Harbor Branch, to try and find a replace- <br />ment for Mr. Jones, who has resigned from the Beach Preser- <br />vation and Restoration Committee, and he will come back to <br />the Board with a recommendation for a replacement. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Lyons, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Wodtke, the Board unanimously <br />accepted the resignation of Robert Jones from <br />the Beach Preservation and Restoration Committee <br />and authorized sending Mr. Jones a letter of <br />appreciation. <br />
