NOV 17 1982 ffao <br />has contended that the proposed development would put him <br />out of business, but Attorney Block pointed out that he grew <br />up in McAnsh Park, where his parents still live, and he <br />believed they are located even closer to the main airport <br />which is much noisier and busier than New Hibiscus Airport. <br />He further emphasized that future residents of the mobile <br />home park would be notified about noise impact before they <br />bought and again stressed the fact that the new Comprehen- <br />sive Land Use Plan designated MD -1 on the west side of I-95. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Lyons, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously <br />extended the meeting to 5:30 o'clock P.M. <br />Attorney Ralph Evans again took the floor arguing that <br />any noise created by the spray planes would be inconse- <br />quential and that the airport does not present a problem. He <br />noted that in Aerodrome Subdivision people fly in and park <br />their planes by their homes. He asked in the event the <br />Board does not approve this rezoning, what their property <br />would be. , <br />Mr. Orth wished one more chance to rebut and again <br />argued that it is not legal to put a statement warning about <br />noise on a deed. He also stated that the suggestion that <br />they alter their flight pattern by flying further on down <br />the road is stupid. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Lyons, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Wodtke, the Board unanimously closed <br />the public hearing <br />Commissioner Wodtke inquired if staff had an answer to <br />the Board's question as to expansion of the commercial/ <br />W <br />67 <br />
