FEB 2 1983 890K 52, Pw 7l% <br />The Board had some further questions about the County's <br />ability to record plats without this Special Act, and <br />Attorney Brandenburg assured them that the County does have <br />these powers; there were some conflicts which he desired to <br />eliminate and then adopt all the requirements in one <br />ordinance. The Attorney explained that the only reason we <br />have to go to the Legislature on this is because it.applies <br />to the municipalities also, and upon checking, it has been <br />determined that the municipalities have no objection to <br />repeal of this Special Act. <br />The Board had no objection to the Attorney's proposed <br />letter. <br />APPOINTMENT TO BUILDING CODE BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS AND <br />APPEALS <br />Discussion ensued as to the fact that although the <br />Commission makes the appointments, the Board of Adjustment <br />should recommend the appointees. It was noted that the <br />Present incumbents on the Building Code Board are: <br />Rita Thomas <br />Johh -A. Kirchner <br />Fred Plair <br />Michael Wodtke <br />Dorothy Hudson <br />Board Secretary Elizabeth Forlani reported that the <br />incumbents were contacted and all indicated that they were <br />'milling to continue to serve. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Fletcher, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Lyons, the Board unanimously <br />agreed to ask the Building Code Board of Adjust- <br />ments and Appeals to designate the individuals <br />they wished the Commission to appoint. <br />DESIGNATION OF SEBASTIAN RIVER AS AN AQUATIC PRESERVE <br />Commissioner Fletcher informed the Board that he was <br />very much interested in pursuing the possibility of <br />am <br />0 <br />
