r FES 16 _083 <br />9. Pay 84.4 <br />Sheriff Dobeck stated that he would like to take <br />$40,000 out of this fund and pay for the Jail study to <br />relieve the Board of that expense. He noted that when they <br />sold the confiscated boat, they placed $50,000 in this fund. <br />They incurred some expenses related to the sale and would <br />like to be reimbursed for those. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Lyons, the Board unanimously <br />approved the transfer requested by the Sheriff <br />in his memo dated February 21, 1983, and author- <br />ized the following budget amendment: <br />Z <br />To: Board of County Commissioners <br />From: Jeffrey K. He reported that Larry Staley, who <br />supervises the Gifford recreation program, would like to <br />have some activities such as a basketball league, an <br />aerobics class, etc., and the Chairman stated that, with the <br />Board's concurrence, he would like to authorize Community <br />Services Director Thomas to work with Mr. Staley to come up <br />with a fee schedule for the contemplated programs and bring <br />56 <br />
