APP 2 01983 Boos <br />Parks Supervisor, Bill Cook, will be including in his Parks <br />& Recreation budget that will be turned in by May 1, 1983. <br />Chairman Bird stated that the only action that is <br />needed today is for the Commission to authorize the <br />necessary repairs at Dale Wimbrow Park. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Wodtke, the Board unanimously <br />authorized the Engineering Department to co- <br />operate in making the necessary repairs to the <br />boat ramp at Dale Wimbrow Park. <br />Park Slogans <br />Chairman Bird announced they had received twenty-five <br />excellent suggestions for a slogan to be placed on Countyo <br />park signs. The winning slogan, which was suggested by <br />Walter Young, City Planner, was: "Nature Held in Trust" <br />and, hopefully, that theme will bring about a better spirit <br />of cooperation in maintaining these areas. <br />He asked the Commission to formally accept that slogan <br />so that it might be placed on the park signs soon to be <br />erected in the County parks'and recreation areas. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bowman, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Scurlock, the Board unani- <br />mously approved the above slogan as the theme <br />for County parks and authorized the Parks & <br />Recreation Dept. to place the slogans on the <br />signs to be erected in the County parks and <br />recreation areas. <br />►o <br />e <br />
