Mr. Diaz assured <br />the Board that this has been discussed with the Fire Inspector <br />and noted that part of the remodeling includes fire walls, etc. <br />He pointed out that they have to meet the fire codes in order to <br />get the occupancy permit. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Lyons, the Board unanimously <br />rescheduled for the agenda of the May 18th <br />meeting approval of a deed transferring the <br />Douglas School facility to Florida Health <br />Centers and authorized the Attorney to pre- <br />pare the necessary documents, etc. <br />REPORT ON BEACH ACQUISITION COMMITTEE <br />Chairman Bird reported that the Beach Acquisition Committee <br />has designated 11 parcels on which they would like to start some <br />serious negotiations. He explained that they have broken up into <br />two man negotiating teams, and along with the attorney, they are <br />scheduling meetings with owners. Hopefully these teams can get <br />to a bottom line figure and come to the Commission with a package <br />of recommendations as to the best deals. These negotiating <br />sessions are set up so that they all should be conducted by May <br />15th, and he felt things look fairly encouraging. <br />Administrator Wright announced that everything is set to <br />close on the Beach Bonds at Jacksonville on May 10th and they <br />hope to charter a plane so they can be there by 9:00 A.M. and <br />have the closing by noon. He noted that there will be a meeting <br />of the State Division of Recreation & Parks Committee on May 10th <br />and this is where they will rate the Nutt property for the Beach <br />Acquisition Program.
