They have a couple other items they want to <br />address, and Mr. Diaz has stressed that they are working on <br />this and are not intentionally delaying the matter. <br />Attorney Brandenburg stated that he would like to have this <br />delayed until next month so they can work on this with his <br />office, and he would appreciate any comments the <br />Commissioners might have. <br />Commissioner Scurlock felt the drafted deed is fine, <br />but he felt that one item relating to a reservation of use <br />for public purposes of any portion of the premises not being <br />used needed more explanation. He believed that it basically <br />was meant to refer to the playground area where we could <br />conduct a recreation program - something similar to the <br />program in the Gifford area. <br />Commissioner Bowman commented that Mrs. Ingram had said <br />she would be delighted if the county wanted to set up a <br />recreation program there. <br />Chairman Bird asked for comments from members of the <br />Wabasso community. <br />Lydia Broxton of the West Wabasso Civic League wished <br />to have more clarification about the reservation of use <br />clause and whether this means they can use this property if <br />they want it. <br />Commissioner Scurlock explained that at this point we <br />do not have any specific plans, but if the League encouraged <br />us to develop a recreation program in the area, we want the <br />ability to use that land rather than have to go out and buy <br />some property or lease it from the Health Center. <br />Bruce MacIntosh, Vice President of the West Wabasso <br />Civic League, felt now that this provision has been <br />clarified, he believed the League would be agreeable to it. <br />Commissioner Lyons suggested rewording the provision to <br />make it more specific, i.e., rather than stating the <br />
