Mr. King emphasized that the committee is the advisory <br />board and the actual action is taken by the Governor. <br />Discussion continued at length about addressing the <br />proper place where the decision will be made. <br />Thomas Eagan addressed the Board speaking as an <br />individual and questioned why the county is so afraid to be <br />a part of this overall picture. He stated that if our <br />Comprehensive Plan is as good as we have been told and is in <br />the best interests of all in the county, then we should <br />enter into the committee and work from within for what we <br />think is right. <br />Mayor Cain stated that the City feels that if they can <br />persuade the committee -to vote that Vero -Beach, Orchid and <br />Sebastian are not areas of vital concern, it will be very <br />difficult for the Governor then to decide otherwise.
